Summary: | This paper analyses several tools and methods for the comprehensive and
efficient development of Power Electronics control systems. Hardware In the
Loop technology enhances a possibility for compromising two opposing demands:
the requirement for exhausting testing process and a requirement for as short
time to market as possible. The procedure was presented through development
and testing of one complex control algorithm for the connection of the
permanent magnet synchronous generator to the electrical grid. Development
steps are explained and analysed in detail. Finally, several scenarios based
