Summary:The article highlights the research of American scientists S.M. Kiefer and A.M. Ryan aimed at the analysis of students' perception of various characteristics associated with social success. Their findings were first published in 2011 and were not familiar to the Russian audience. The purpose of the article is to introduce the data, concerning the specificity of teenagers' perception of social success, to psychologists in Russia. The cited authors regard positive attitude of students in early teen age to various characteristics associated with social success.
