Beyond the discussion about the appropriation of classical knowledge about Medicine and Pharmacy from native knowledge, their structures and narrative styles are compared in order to support the questioning of the same authorship attributed to both manuscripts. Distancing from the vision consecrated by historiography, we propose that the Libro de Cirugía was composed in different moments and had the collaboration of several authors-compilers, including indigenous copywriters.http://journals.openedition.org/corpusarchivos/3633Materia Médica Misionera Libro de Cirugíamanuscripts of medicine and pharmacyPlatin America18th century
