Summary:The aim of the study is to identify and analyze the most competitive countries in the world in terms of development of their infrastructure in general and its individual components. The article considers the significance and role of infrastructure in ensuring the economic growth of developing countries and their competitiveness, solving global problems of humanity (including poverty), improving the quality of life of the population. The analysis of the infrastructure state and features of its development in the world and Ukraine has been carried out. Based on the analysis of the global competitiveness ranking of WEF, the most competitive countries of the world in terms of the development level of their infrastructure in general and its individual elements have been determined. Using the calculation of the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, a matrix of intercorrelation of indices of world countries’ competitiveness in 2010-2015 (according to the method of the WEF) has been composed; the most significant determinants of the countries’ competitiveness in terms of the infrastructure development have been identified.
