The problem of the length of court proceedings can be characterized as a global problem that exists in countries around the world. The general rule that arose from the current analysis of the situation in this area is that the countries of the Anglo-Saxon legal system have more effective protection of the right to trial within a reasonable time than the countries of the European-Continental legal system, where in some countries the protection of this right is a systemic problem.
