Description
Summary:The paper analyses the processes of national and national-state building in the XVII-XVIII centuries, reveals and presents their regional specificity. The study shows the unique and general features of the ideological, legal, political and philosophical reflection and projects of civic nations in England, France and North America in the era of bourgeois-democratic revolutions. In this context, it defines the connotations of the concepts of people, nation, sovereignty of the people, the nation-state, nationalism and patriotism, which were developed in the early modern era and became the ideological and theoretical foundations for a modern statist approach and the paradigm of modernism in social and political sciences.
