Business representatives and international bodies seek to standardize competition rules so that they do not harm business development and others. In this regard, there are several methods and techniques applied to quantify the harm caused by anti-competitive practices, the economic effects of competition policy and the intervention of competition authorities proposed by the European Commission, the OECD, competition authorities in several countries, and the academic environment. The efficient analysis and quantification of the impact of anti-competitive practices are crucial in the regulatory process, being the premise of making the right decisions.
