Sakovich interpreted the rational soul as a human soul according to the Christian religion. Considerable attention was paid by him to the functioning of the soul after death. I. Gisel was more inclined to scholastic commentators of his time. He analized detailly each concept about the definition of the soul by Aristotle. S. Yavorsky also paid his attention to scholastical aristotelism. He analyzed the properties of the human soul – intellect and will, described the skills that depend to them in details.
