Summary:The Catholic Church has created the first schools in France, at the beginning of the Middle Age and it has an essential contribution at the foundation of Paris University. During the ages, this University (Sorbonne), has known both the influence of French State and the one of the Catholic Church. They were, from time in time, triyng to take all the rights, pretending that they where the founders of the institution. During the time, the position of the last one was very dymamic and it was linked with the attempt to make the ruls. They were triyng to argue the fact that the University was founded by the State or by the society and they were contesting for the first place on the stafe of the society, which was the most important for the schools and universitary teaching.
