On this way, the European Union plays an important role both in terms of its democratic regime – where human rights constitute a fundamental pillar – as well as from the fact that its common cultural heritage includes the material and spiritual assets of the continental nations, but also the resources generated by the ethnic minorities. The recent European summit have not completely solved the problem of the Syrian refugees, which has become a political and a cultural one. This article analyses the implications and advantages of enforcing human rights and civil liberties to solve efficiently the refugee crisis in the EU by integrating them as much as possible across the multicultural and the multi-ethnic space of the continent.
