Summary:The article describes the priorities and mechanisms of increasing the innovative capacity of the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s food industry today. It was defined system-wide problem of low innovation activity as a whole in the post-soviet space, in the regions and by the food industry to map out the direction for innovative capacity. It has been established that the main conditions of the effectiveness of regional innovation infrastructure must become integrated service delivery and focus on commercialization of innovative activity in the priority sectors of regional specialization.
