First, we look to the way in which the democratic project claims – at the level of law – a homogeneity capable of supporting a legal and social pluralism in which all citizens might recognize themselves in the legal system.  Next, we turn to the way in which authoritarianism imposes a legal system that demands the elimination of heterogeneity from within the society.  Given a long authoritarian tradition in Peruvian history, the author clarifies the ways that vision is embedded within the contemporary academy, channeling debate and gain political influence.http://journals.openedition.org/droitcultures/2591AuthoritarianismDemocracyDiscrimination and Human rightsPolitical Radicalism
