Description
Summary:This research aims to verify the perspective of students of the Administration course of the Feevale University on the social and environmental responsibility of the companies where they work. The companies operate in the industrial, commercial and service sectors and are located in the regions: Vale do Sinos, Porto Alegre Metropolitan and Vale do Paranhana, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. To achieve the proposed objective, descriptive research, survey, with a quantitative approach was used. The sample consisted of 122 respondents. The main results point out that the industrial and services segments stood out positively regarding environmental and social issues, while the commercial segment had little engagement. Organizations have good social and environmental practices, according to the respondent’s perspective. They perceive as benefits of these practices: reduction of costs and improvement of the image for society. Despite this, investments and complexity to implement social and environmental practices are seen as hindering factors. It also concludes the lack of engagement by companies in relation to social and environmental responsibility.
