Simulations can provide a solid platform upon which role-play games can be created and used to promote soft skills development. This form of active learning provides a unique tool for training people in different contexts that may be able to benefit from the availability of open source e-learning tools due to a common lack of access to affordable training and developmental resources. Within this paper a project to develop a new e-learning role-single-play game called , which exploits the output of the European project ENACT, will be described. ENACT is a simulation tool being developed to provide an affordable and accessible means for schools, enterprises, professional training and sport contexts to access on-line training to enhance their “soft skills”, and in particular negotiation competence.
