This article retakes some discourses on sustainability aiming at finding perspectives of historical consciousness, given that Ecology has been projected like a contemporary vision of the world. Thereby this work is a semantic analysis of the term sustainability, focusing on how the idea of a space-time regulated as an ideal of historical Reason appears implied in the term. It is assumed the hypothesis that there is a psychological operator in the discursive structuring of the term sustainability, in which it is observed the role of a regulatory principle and some constituent elements.
