Summary: | In this study, a method which analyses structures under increasing loads and second-order theory of structural systems is developed. The displacement method used for programming considers the effects of axial loads on stiffness of the structural elements by using stability functions. At the first stage of the analysis, it is assumed that the frame is completely elastic and the stifness matrix of the frame is determined by taking the axial loads on the element as zero. The iterative analysis, which are carried out under increasing loads will continue until the difference between two successive sets of axial loads is smaller than a specific tolerance. |
