Summary:Allama Muhammad Iqbal was a poet of extraordinary genius and unlimited mental horizon. Being broad minded in his outlook, he is considered as a great scholar, intellectual and one of the greatest philosophers of all times. His celebrity enjoys high renown and, of course, the fame of Iqbal is beyond the horizon of general limits in life. It is because of his undeniable great poetic and prose works that the attention of scholars of the whole world turned to him and at present his greatness as a scholar, poet and philosopher has been universally acknowledged. Iqbal was introduced to the Arab world during the early part of 20th century, particularly after his return from London in 1931, when he attended second round Table conference. On his way back from London he visited some Arabian countries and stayed for some time in Egypt and Palestine. In Cairo he was warmly received by the Muslim youth society and was introduced to the Arab world by Dr. Abdul Wahab Azzam, a great muslim scholar and poet of his time. Iqbal participated in the Islamic conference held in Al-Quds Sharif this visit has been considered by the scholars and lovers of Iqbal as a starting point of interaction between him and the Arabian writers desired to translate the works of Iqbal in Arabic. It is on account of these translations that the thoughts and message of Iqbal have become widespread and his renown is acknowledged in countries such as Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Jordan, Yemen, Sudan, Morocco, and the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
