In contrast, however, the parallel process of men devoting themselves to domestic work, including that of looking after children and dependent adults, has not taken place. As a result, working women with family commitments are at a clear disadvantage in comparison with men. A number of legal measures are currently being brought into force, precisely in order to improve the situation of women in this position.
