Description
Summary:Located on the Atlantic coast of Vendée (France), the Cayola Bay port site was the subject of several scientific studies between 1992 and 2001. In 2016, a prospecting survey was set up as part of a research project university. Covered largely by a bead of pebbles, the remains are visible at low tide, at high coefficients. The remains of this wooden work, interpreted as a wharf, were dated by dendrochronology of the mid-twelfth century.
