The human rights movement in Argentina has been studied in multiple dissertations. A considerable number of them has focused on the dynamics of the country capital and in the city of La Plata and in certain organizations, while in recent years a series of investigations are reflecting the multiplicity and diversity of subjects and movement’s practices, in order to complete the predominant look that has put the focus in Buenos Aires and La Plata and consider a more fully approach at the different historical experiences. This trend has deepened knowledge about the movement and ask whether we should speak of it in the singular or plural and put into discussion categories or concepts such as local history and region. In this regard, research in recent years can appreciate the use of new scales of analysis and new sources and the formulation of new questions that lead to wonder if we are against a renewal of studies on the movement in question.
