Summary:The article examines the sociological and political views of the Slavic public figure of the XVII century - Yuriy Krizhanich (Juraj Križanić). He was exiled to Tobolsk where he developed a Pan-Slavonic grammar that incorporated numerous Slavic languages and wrote the original scientific works seeking to understand the role of the Slavs and Russia in the world historical process. His works provide an interesting sociological perspective on the public administration, the social structure and the sectors of the economy of that time.
