The First Case of Urosepsis Due to Multidrug Resistant Pseudomonas fulva

Pseudomonas fulva is a non-fermenter gram-negative rod belonging to the Pseudomonas putida complex. Although it is one of the most common Pseudomonas species in nature, human infections due to P. fulva are very rare. P. fulva was first reported to be an infectious agent in humans in 2010 and led to a hospital outbreak in Beijing in 2014, as well as a few individual cases from different countries. There is no case report from our country in the literature. In this article, we present a case of urosepsis caused by P. fulva in a patient with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and autoimmune hemolytic anemia. The isolate detected in the case was resistant to all antibiotics except colistin. To our knowledge, there was no literature on multi drug resistant P. fulva.
