This essay deals with the relationship between natural landscapes and intra/intercommunity stability. It analyses the relation between these two realities and highlights its social implications. Through a phenomenological approach, this study shows the mutual influence which exists between natural landscapes and intra/intercommunity stability. Thus, this phenomenological analysis of natural landscapes highlights the close link between their management, their degradation and the outbreak of some conflicts throughout the world, particularly in Africa. It also shows that armed conflicts affect the natural environment. This tends to create a permanent cycle of instability and successive conflicts. To break this cycle of conflicts and avoid this permanent intra/intercommunity instability, it is necessary to take into account natural landscapes management, protection and restoration in conflict resolution processes.http://www.tropicultura.org/text/v36n2/337.pdfPopulationsIntercommunity conflictsNatural landscapesSociopolitical instabilityConflict managementCôte d'Ivoire
