Summary: | In this work, we present the transcription of a record of kidnapping of women attested in Córdoba del Tucumán in the 17th century. The cause draws attention to how the crime is construed: there are different points of view but the common ground is related with offended husband’s honor and the married women’s responsibility, both constitute the bases on which social sensitivity anchors. The lawsuit clarifies some issues related to betrayal between peers, since it is the kidnapper who takes advantage of the man of the house’s trust to kidnap his woman. The document is kept in the Historical Provincial Archive of Córdoba and its approach may be carried out from several viewpoints which undoubtedly will provide some partial approximation into the modes of experimenting social transgressions in the social region of colonial Córdoba.
