Summary:About half of the Tadi Rural Municipality (TRM) land area is vulnerable to natural disaster and 12% of total 3582 households live in such areas. This study intends to develop strategies for resettling vulnerable people in safe locations with livelihood provisions based on the lessons drawn from TRM families affected by landslides triggered by the 2015 Gorkha, Nepal earthquake. The study is based mostly on secondary information but also carried out focus group discussions for primary information. This study has recommended that the the people from vulnerable settlements should be resettled with government support making land belonging to absentee landlords available to the resettled families through the land bank system.
