Comparative analysis of effect of different surgical methods on low rectovaginal

Objective: To observe the effect of different surgical methods on the rectovaginal fistula (RVF) and the stress reaction. Methods: The clinical dataof RVF patients from January, 2011 to December, 2012 were retrospectively analyzed, among which 20 cases receiving the removing petal of mucous membr...

Methods: The clinical dataof RVF patients from January, 2011 to December, 2012 were retrospectively analyzed, among which 20 cases receiving the removing petal of mucous membrane of rectum technology served as the observation group, while 20 cases given the conventional surgery (the neoplasty per perineum, vagina and anal sphincter) served as the control group. The effects of the conventional surgery and the removing petal of mucous membrane of rectum technology on RVF, the occurrence rate and recurrence rate of postoperative complications, the effect on stress reaction in the two groups were compared. Results: The one time repairing success rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The various stress indicators after operation in the two groups were significantly elevated when compared with before operation (P<0.05), but the comparison between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The occurrence rate and recurrence rate of postoperative complications in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: The removing petal of mucous membrane of rectum technology can effectively treat the low and mid-level RVF, and reduce the occurrence rate and recurrence rate of postoperative complications with significant advantages than the conventional surgery.http://www.jhmuweb.net/PDF/201605/11.pdfRVFRemoving petal of mucous membrane of rectum technologyConventional surgery
