Description
Summary:When in November 1918 the Great Powers ended the Great Imperial War, Romania continued its own national war, with all the sacrifices and human, material and territorial losses caused by the campaigns of 1916 and 1917, by the Peace Treaty of Bucharest imposed by the Central Powers and by the direct actions from the east and west. Under these circumstances, the 6th Infantry Division of Focsani, which had gloriously won the battle of Marasti in the summer of 1917, was granted the honor of being the first unit to fight for the expulsion of the invading troops from the Focsani Gate, and, subsequently, they participated in the campaign for the defense of the Great Union of 1 December 1918 in Transylvania and beyond Tisa.
