Description
Summary:The case report describes smile designing of a 22-year-old male patient who was surgically operated for unilateral cleft lip (left side) with Andrew's Bridge system. It is composed of two components: Fixed component (retainers on abutments joined by bar) and removable component. The patient exhibited maxillary anterior defect (Siebert's Class-III anterior ridge defect), teeth transposition, increased mesiodistal edentulous space, bilaterally missing lateral incisor. When there is a limitation of bone grafting/surgical augmentation, alternative treatment modalities such as removable partial dentures, fixed partial dentures with gingival porcelain and/or fixed-removable partial dentures known as Andrew's bridge are indicated.
