Summary:In the article several theoretical and methodological referents are presented which characterize sexual education in at pre-school children, considering criteria offered by different authors as well as the most updated trends on this matter. It is taken as a starting point the need of fostering a responsible sexuality since early ages, and the crucial role of the family as the first school, as well as the role of teachers and educators in the formation of the new generations.
