Description
Summary:The availability of 3D geodata is increasing tremendously. However, there is still a lack of appropriate tools for integrated data management and analysis solutions that can cope with the great diversity of geodata. Thus, our goal is a hybrid 3D geoinformation system which is able to combine and analyse heterogeneous 3D geodata in an efficient and consistent way. Based on the accepted standard ISO 19107, we propose a hybrid data model to overcome structural, geometric and topological data heterogeneity on a conceptual level. Our concept is hybrid with respect to data given in different data models, dimensions and quality levels. Through the explicit modelling of geometric correspondences, multiple representations and data inconsistency can be handled.
