Description
Summary:The current forest management system does not take into account IBAs. Most of IBAs are outside SPNAs (Special Protected Natural Areas) with a strict regime that completely exclude felling, that is why one-time total refusal from felling within IBAs put obstacles or is impossible for socio-economic reasons. Nevertheless, it is necessary to seek the exclusion of IBAs from forest exploitation plans or, at least, put a restraint upon forestry activity in the territory of IBAs. This article suggests ways of preserving biodiversity in the course of logging on the IBAs.
