Due to accompanying illnesses and risks older patients need to be considered with careful ethical judgement of the necessity of the upcoming surgical procedure, interdisciplinary preparation and excelent performance of the treatment. Considering that older people have special needs, surgical procedures must be performed riskless and safely, because any complication may additionally threaten their health and life.
