Summary: | The religious broadcasts – in particular the catholic service broadcast – have been programmed on television since 1949 (earlier, on the radio) and have been continued until today. Are the audiovisual religious broadcasts legitimate or opposed to the secularism and public utility neutrality principles? The religious broadcasts can be justified by the role of television and radio part to protect social and cultural pluralism. However, the neutrality of audio-visual as a public service seems to be weighing in the balance by this access to airwaves for religious broadcasts. |
