Description
Summary:Hydrodynamic numerical modeling is a widely used tool because of its importance in the hydrodynamic study of coastal and oceanic regions. However, for these to be reliable, calibration and validation is essential. The objective of this paper is to highlight the need to perform inferential statistical analyses that allow the determination of the adherence of the hydrodynamic model to the data observed in the field. Therefore, the simple linear regression method, the emphasis to perform the ANOVA, the inference for adequacy and the graphical representation of the study of the residues are valued.
