We examine the calculations of ks2 of both transverse electric and transverse magnetic wave modes proposed by the paper “Electromagnetic wave propagation in a superconducting parallel-plate waveguide filled with an indefinite medium” by Burhan Zamir, Rashid Ali, and Muzaffar Bashir [Results Phys, 13 2019, 102312] and demonstrate that the result of ks2 in case of transverse electric waves is wrong. The correct results are given.
