Description
Summary:Introduction. Progress in X-ray angiographic surgery allows us to reconsider traditional approaches to treating ischemic stroke due to thrombosis in the internal carotid artery (ICA) basin. Objective. To study early and long-term results of urgent selective thrombolysis in the ICA basin with acute thrombosis. Material and methods. The subject of the study were 13 patients. The age of patients ranged from 40 to 64 years. As a thrombolytic was used a plasminogen tissue activator - Actilizae-Boehring Ingelheim. Results. At the end of the early postoperative period, 10 patients were discharged for outpatient treatment, 3 died of progression of the underlying disease. When examining patients in terms of 1 to 5 years in 9 cases, recovery of motor activity and speech was noted. Conclusions. Improving the results of selective thrombolysis in the basin of the ICA requires a reduction in the time from the onset of thrombosis until the patient enters the angiographic room.
