The MRL proposals under assessment are lower than the current EU MRLs established under Regulation (EC) 396/2005. The dietary exposure calculations performed by EFSA demonstrated that the short‐term and the long‐term intake of chlordecone residues at the level of the proposed MRLs for animal products under assessment is not expected to exceed the toxicological reference values derived by the French authorities.https://doi.org/10.2903/j.efsa.2020.6052chlordeconeanimal commoditieslivestockpesticideMRLexposure assessment
