Description
Summary:Postwar societies are high-risk contexts for youth participation in violence. However, there is great variation between and within postwar societies. Socialization and transitions into adulthood stand at the center of the interaction between youth and adult society and help to explain the variation in youth violence in contexts of high structural risk.
