Summary:The paper deals with some peculiarities of formation of the post-Soviet memory in Georgia. The impact of changeable political reality on this process is discussed in particular. The study focuses on the transformation of image of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Russia in the post-Soviet collective memory. To this end, textual materials as well as other types of <em>realms of memory</em> are analyzed.
