Summary:Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics Center (ELI-NP) in Bucharest-Magurele is one of the pillars of the international research program ELI-NP, along with other two centers to be developed in Hungary and the Czech Republic. The investment for the development center in Magurele amounts to €356 million and comes from the funds of the Sectoral Operational Programme "Increasing Economic Competitiveness". With ELI-NP there will be done research on ultra-high power lasers, laser-matter interaction and secondary sources of radiation.
