In the absence of any reliable treatment or vaccine, nonpharmaceutical interventions are presently are the mainstay to prevent and possibly end the COVID-19 pandemic. The development of herd immunity either through natural infection or induced through vaccine can bring down the epidemic. However, it may take a few more months before the normalcy returns. |
