This article seeks to understand how we can help our youth in the transition from adolescence to adult life, through community projects. We attempt to aboard realities from three different perspectives: that of the neighbourhood (with its residents and professionals), that of researchers, and finally that of the youth themselves. The public arena appears to be the axe of promotion and visibility for the latter and at the same time a place of exclusion and marginalisation. In this article we cover small experiences to global experience, from the most simple to the most complex and as such we can come to understand the long term results of an educative process. The creation of an anthology, conceived, promoted and written by the youth themselves, in the neighbourhood of Raval at Barcelona, is a unique experience which allows us to understand how thought and action offer excellent potential for social transformation.http://journals.openedition.org/sejed/6592inclusion-exclusioncommunitythought-actionviolencenetworksidentity |
