Summary:The article considers the digitalization of the Russian transport industry in the context of the digital transformation of the Russian economy.A meta!analysis of the «digital maturity» of the Russian transport industry, the place and role of the Director of digital data and Director of digital technologies in the company, the main channels and tools of customer communications, and digital innovations is conducted. The «digital maturity» of Russian transport industry enterprises in the application of data science methods and models is evaluated. In the modern world, digitalization of organizational processes and systems has become an important factor in increasing the competitiveness and development of Russian business structures. The emergence of such a «Joe ker» as p andemia COVID–19, the effect of which seemed to be significant not only in the framework of a separate organization or a country, but also in all the planets, led to significant changes in the economic situation in the country, including in its transport system. The digitalization of the management system of JSC «Russian Railways», which has already begun, is now continuing in a new, changing situation. It is proposed to analyze some aspects of the created situation in the digitalization of the management system and its correction with the account of the created conditions.
