Study uses historical method and analysis of open sources.LIBER promotes new opportunities in the projects of the European research library network. The article explores the prerequisites, the current state, goals and further prospects of LIBER international projects. The study also highlights the structural organization of LIBER, its strategy and plans for the future.For many years LIBER has been involved in international scientific, cultural and educational projects. LIBER has been involved in dozens of cutting-edge digital projects. Much attention is paid to LIBER’s projects that are currently underway, including SSHOC, INOS and reCreating Europe. These projects were called to make modernizing influence on areas of humanities, university curricula, and rethinking digital copyright law.Now none of Ukrainian libraries participate in LIBER’s projects. As result of current study rise of interest among Ukrainian scientists towards LIBER is expected.
