Influência da laserterapia associada ao alongamento passivo sobre o músculo isquiotibial

Introduction: Laser therapy has been reported for their effects on the neuromuscular system. Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of laser therapy associated with passive of hamstring stretching in healthy subjects. Method: Thirty-one volunteers were divided into four g...

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of laser therapy associated with passive of hamstring stretching in healthy subjects. Method: Thirty-one volunteers were divided into four groups: control (C), stretching (S), stretching and placebo laser (S+PL) and stretching and laser (S+L). Groups, except the control, underwent nine sessions of passive stretching. The S+L group received irradiation in hamstring muscle prior to stretching sessions (GaAlAs, 830 nm, 30 mW, 6 J/cm2, 26 seconds). The flexibility (goniometry) and muscle activity (surface electromyography) were evaluated. Results: Passive stretching, combined with laser therapy, caused a significant increase in flexibility (p> 0.014) and muscle activity (p <0.003). Conclusion: There were changes in activity and flexibility of the hamstring muscles subjected to passive stretching associated with laser therapy, under the parameters employed.http://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=92923694018
