Description
Summary:Test results obtained by studying the influence of epoxy coated E-glass fibre composites on the compressive and splitting tensile strengths of concrete are reported in the paper. Three grades of concrete and varying fibre volume fractions (0.5 %, 1 %, 1.5 % and 2 %) were used as test variables. It was observed that the maximum compressive strength was attained for the fibre volume fraction of 1.5%, whereas the splitting tensile strength was found to increase with an increase in the fibre volume fraction. Based on the test results, a mathematical model was developed using regression analysis.
