Description
Summary:This study seeks to reconcile two issues, totally opposite a priori: religion and videogames. One of the most turbulent fields of biblical studies is the apocryphal literature, and within it, the apocalyptic genre is the most developed, with the Ethiopic Book of Enoch to the head. This work has puzzled investigators over the years due to the intriguing figure of his protagonist and issues such as the origin of evil, the transmission of knowledge, angels and demons. Therefore, it is not surprising that the work has come to interest people outside the Judeo-Christian culture. El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is the biggest example of this, a Japanese version of this Jewish work, leaving the literary field to get into videogames. A modern medium capable of telling stories.
