Summary: | The Csangos are a hard to define ethnic/religious minority. They have been rather recently recognized and instituted as a minority. According to the 2002 census, the recorded number of declared Csangos was of 769. There is a huge discrepancy between these figures and the ones used by some scholars from 70.000 to 100.000 that cannot be dismissed as just the result of technical counting problems and even less of scholarly (dis)honesty. This paper tries to delve on the possibility conditions for imagining the Csangos through new global communication technologies.
