Summary:Pierre Faisses was a protestant school-teacher from the Cevennes region who decided to flee France soon after the repeal of the Edict of Nantes. He left with his brother, crossing the Massif Central to Lyons. After a first unsuccessful attempt, he finally found a guide who led him and his companions to Geneva through Dauphiné and Savoy. He left an account of his journey for which the article gives an annotated edition.
