The main quest presented is: how did Villa-Lobos implant and consolidate the Orpheonic Singing in Brazilian education? Regarding the methodology and the historical insertion of this work, its provided a documental base consisting mainly in: personal correspondences of Villa-Lobos; official and unofficial documents from agencies such as the Secretariat of Education and Health of the Federal District and the Ministry of the Education and Health; laws, decrees and scientific papers. These documents and sources can be found in the Library of the Villa-Lobos Museum, the Center of Research and Documentation of the Contemporary History of Brazil of the Foundation Getlio Vargas and the Division of Music and Sonorous Archive of the National Library of Rio de Janeiro. The found data, according to analysis, indicates significant administrative strategies to take care of the main population in the Orpheonic Singing management, this parcel of the population, which comprises mainly common workers and proletarians, was at the governments spot at that period. One perceives that Villa-Lobos imprinted a great growth of music in formal education. In this direction, the manager in question did political articulation in the context of the Era Vargas, established priorities in the pedagogical sphere of the project and invested significantly in the teachers training.http://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/travessias/article/view/3977villa-lobosera vargascanto orfeônico
